RippleNami: An Imagination Run Wild With The Mission To Connect 5 Billion Unconnected People

RippleNami is a B2B technology company working in developing nations to solve critical problems. To find out more about their unique platform we shared a fascinating tell all with Jaye Connolly-LaBelle, Chairman and CEO of RippleNami, Inc.

Jaye_Connolly-LaBelle

Q: Will you provide our readers with a brief introduction to RippleNami?

A: Imagine a world where you have all of the data that is important to you at your fingertips… a world where vast amounts of data can be visualized so it is easily understandable and actionable… and a world where everyone who has a phone will have equal access to the benefits that this technology will bring. RippleNami’s imagination ran wild with the mission to connect 5 billion unconnected people and execute on their global vision of inclusion.

RippleNami_Sierra_Leone

Q: You’ve recently announced a contract with Sierra Leone to launch this nation as Africa’s first Smart Country; won’t you tell us more?

A: In September, at the United Nations General Assembly, President Bai Koroma’s delegation made an announcement to partner with RippleNami to transform Sierra Leone into Africa’s first “Smart Country.” The program accelerates progress toward achieving President Koroma’s vision for Sierra Leone to become a green, inclusive, middle-income country. What’s at stake is empowering Sierra Leone to obtain economic independence and aggressively compete in global markets while elevating the prosperity of its people.

For the first time in this nation’s proud history, Sierra Leone, in partnership with RippleNami, will deploy the blockchain-data visualization system solution that enables Sierra Leone to generate, own, collect, analyze and transact data on a nationwide scale – making Sierra Leone Africa’s first “Smart Country. You can only imagine the excitement around leading this bold vision and we stand ready to replicate this success story for those countries eager to also thrive within these new possibilities.

Q: What would you say is the biggest challenge in your job?

A: Our biggest challenge is our biggest opportunity and Ripplenami was born purely out of frustration by how each year BILLIONS of humanitarian aid in developing nations NEVER reached those in need.

As your readers know better than most, for every problem there exists an opportunity. Today, 3 billion of our global citizens don’t have any documents to verify their identity. Lack of identification prohibits people’s ability to use banks and inhibits access to basic rights like employment, education, healthcare, voting and travel. Without a reliable data infrastructure, these people are unable to capture the meaningful events in their lives: property ownership, health records, education certificates, and business licenses. The biggest challenge is the race against the clock to proliferate this technology to those in dire need of connectivity.

RippleNami_Globe_Map

Q: Who are the primary clients of RippleNami?

A: The beneficiaries and users of our proprietary technology platform are as wide and diverse as the applications we offer to our end users. In Africa millions of people live in extreme poverty and don’t have a digital identity. Most of these people are denied from basic opportunities that are common in the West such as a bank account, the ability to sell their products to broader markets or being able to buy items that are vital for their small businesses. Still, millions of transactions take place in the streets and villages between small businesses and individuals, but only a very small fraction is visible to the governments. At the same time, most people own smart phones with all the capabilities and access functions found in the phones that operate in the West.

Our client profile includes developing countries, corporations with a global footprint and non-governmental organizations which provide the benefits listed below:

• Government agencies seeking information needed to efficiently allocate resources and deliver critical services.
• Livestock owners seeking digital economic identities to quantify their property and access real time information about the market value, making it easier and less costly to secure a loan.
• Farmers seeking instant access to real-time information about which markets will deliver the best price for their crops. They will access visibility with other farmers in the geographic region to consider forming co-ops to share resources and reduce costs.
• Small businesses seeking access to new markets, more efficiently manage supply chains, and utilize smart contracts for secure transactions.
• The technology can also improve humanitarian assistance by eliminating the fraud and mismanagement that sometimes prevents a significant amount of money and goods from getting to those most in need.

Q: What are your plans for the next 4-6 months?

A: In today’s world, when it is it often hard to trust each other, the RippleNami solution becomes a trusted platform on which to collaborate, access economic opportunities, deliver services and conduct business. Our laser focus is to continue to rapidly deploy the technology throughout the African continent one country at a time and lifting an entire population to levels unseen in modern history.

RippleNami President and Chief Executive Officer Jaye Connolly-LaBelle Joins Distinguished Honorees at San Diego’s Women Who Mean Business Annual Awards Ceremony

San Diego Business Journal Awards Program is November 15, 2017

San Diego, CA…..October 11, 2017…..Jaye Connolly-LaBelle, president and chief executive officer of RippleNami, Inc., a blockchain data visualization solution provider, is a finalist for the 24th Annual Women Who Mean Business Awards. This notable awards ceremony is hosted by the San Diego Business Journal and honors prominent business leaders who are making their mark in history, trailblazing for others to model and elevating San Diego’s stature in the global business community.

Imagine a world where all the information most important to you rests at your fingertips… a world where vast streams of data are visualized in logical and actionable fashion… and a world where anyone equipped with a mobile phone is now accessing the powerful benefits that RippleNami’s technology enables at a rapid clip.

RippleNami is marching towards its bold vision of connecting 5 billion unconnected people with an easy-to-use blockchain and mapping solution that leverages the mass adoption of mobile phones. Connolly-LaBelle and Phil Gahn, founder and chief business development officer shared a deeply held conviction that driving social impact of this magnitude would be their singular cause with a global reach while leveraging their San Diego roots. They are determined to aggressively introduce and deploy RippleNami’s proprietary technology solution into developing countries and change the global landscape in unforeseen ways. First stop: why not Africa?

  • Every year, $150 billion in international development aid is dedicated to developing nations yet $90 BILLION of that allocation NEVER reaches those in need because authorities lack knowledge of resource needs of its people geographically.
  • 3 BILLION people live EXTREME POVERTY without the ability to capture critical life events such as identities, banking, healthcare records, land ownership, global supply chain and more.
  • Women and children in Africa spend 6 HOURS EVERY DAY looking for clean water because not a single map of the water wells infrastructure exists.

Since 2015, Connolly-LaBelle’s leadership is positively impacting 20 million people in Africa, nearly 3 million veterans in the U.K., assisting relief efforts in Europe and Africa.

  • Now, organizations such as non-profits, governments and corporations are breaking down data silos, solving problems, making critical development decisions and investments by collaborating in real-time like never before.
  • Now, those in extreme poverty are beginning to access a digital identity, assets, credit and other financial services by visualizing their world on an easy-to-use map.
  • Now, women and children are accessing water sources in a fraction of the time and spending more time in classrooms.

Connolly-LaBelle’s tenacity to embark on this ambitious pathway is the hallmark trait of her career. She’s no stranger to the entrepreneurial journey of undertaking oversized goals, mitigating risk and scaling swiftly. Travelling the world and bearing witness to these third world circumstances and then delivering sustained solutions has come to define RippleNami’s CEO and her unstoppable team. Connolly-LaBelle’s resolve to drive mass adoption of RippleNami’s technology is changing lives and lifting an entire continent – one country at a time – through its gift of connectivity and empowerment.

Connolly-LaBelle and her fellow finalists will be honored at a reception hosted by San Diego Business Journal on November 15 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront.

San Diego, California – July 26, 2017 – RippleNami, Inc., a provider of a blockchain map-based data visualization platform accessed via the cloud. has been named the gold winner in the Most Socially Responsible Company of the Year category in Best in Biz Awards 2017 International, the only independent global business awards program judged each year by prominent editors and reporters from top-tier publications from around the world.

RippleNami is quickly affecting change in developing nation by connecting unconnected populations with an innovative blockchain and mapping solution that allows anyone to map their world. RippleNami created a visible and secure way for people to resolve a myriad of problems involving data veracity, document control, big data management, property protection, and identity management through an incorruptible network.  RippleNami knew that if they could take the technology solution into developing countries, the world would forever be changed.

“As a rapidly growing, fast-paced startup technology company with a strong focus on corporate social responsibility, RippleNami is quickly impacting the lives of many by making a difference in the way people connect using our novel blockchain and mapping solution.  We genuinely appreciate that the judges in the Best in Biz award program recognized the power of the change RippleNami’s innovative solution is affecting and noticed the Company’s successes to date,” explained Jaye Connolly-Labelle, president and chief executive officer at RippleNami.

Almost 300 public and private companies hailing from all sectors of the global economy from more than 30 countries competed in Best in Biz Awards’ fifth annual International program. Best in Biz Awards 2017 International honors were once again presented in a range of categories, including Fastest-Growing Company of the Year, Most Socially Responsible Company of the Year, Most Innovative Company of the Year, Support Department of the Year, Executive of the Year, Most Innovative Product, Enterprise Product and Consumer Product of the Year.

Winners in the 5th annual program were determined based on scoring from an independent panel of judges hailing from a wide spectrum of top-tier publications and media outlets and from 15 countries and all continents. Best in Biz Awards’ uniqueness stems, in part, from the composition of its judging panels. Each year, only editors, writers and contributors to business, consumer, financial, trade and technology publications, as well as broadcast outlets and analyst firms, are invited to serve as judges. Structured this way, Best in Biz Awards can best leverage the expertise, experience and objectivity of its influential judges to determine award winners.

“More than twenty years after the internet became a must-have tool and medium for businesses, it’s fascinating to see how leading firms, as encapsulated by this strong crop of Best in Biz Awards contenders, demonstrate how far we’ve come,” said Mathew Schwartz, judging his fourth Best in Biz Awards competition. “I was especially struck by how strong the cloud computing segment continues to be — not just apps but also infrastructure — and how even with the best technology in the world, user interface design and the user experience remains so crucial.”

This year’s judging panel included writers and contributors to such publications as ARD (Germany), Business Breakfast (United Arab Emirates), Computer Hoy (Spain), Data Breach Today (United Kingdom), HT Mobile (Israel), IAA Magazine (United Arab Emirates), InBusiness (Cyprus and Greece), Irish Independent (Ireland), Radio Ngati Porou (New Zealand), TechHim (India), TechnoFILE.com (Canada), Tune Media (Singapore), Ventures Africa (Nigeria), and Wirausaha & Keuangan (Indonesia).
