RippleNami President and Chief Executive Officer Jaye Connolly-LaBelle Joins Distinguished Honorees at San Diego’s Women Who Mean Business Annual Awards Ceremony

San Diego Business Journal Awards Program is November 15, 2017

San Diego, CA…..October 11, 2017…..Jaye Connolly-LaBelle, president and chief executive officer of RippleNami, Inc., a blockchain data visualization solution provider, is a finalist for the 24th Annual Women Who Mean Business Awards. This notable awards ceremony is hosted by the San Diego Business Journal and honors prominent business leaders who are making their mark in history, trailblazing for others to model and elevating San Diego’s stature in the global business community.

Imagine a world where all the information most important to you rests at your fingertips… a world where vast streams of data are visualized in logical and actionable fashion… and a world where anyone equipped with a mobile phone is now accessing the powerful benefits that RippleNami’s technology enables at a rapid clip.

RippleNami is marching towards its bold vision of connecting 5 billion unconnected people with an easy-to-use blockchain and mapping solution that leverages the mass adoption of mobile phones. Connolly-LaBelle and Phil Gahn, founder and chief business development officer shared a deeply held conviction that driving social impact of this magnitude would be their singular cause with a global reach while leveraging their San Diego roots. They are determined to aggressively introduce and deploy RippleNami’s proprietary technology solution into developing countries and change the global landscape in unforeseen ways. First stop: why not Africa?

  • Every year, $150 billion in international development aid is dedicated to developing nations yet $90 BILLION of that allocation NEVER reaches those in need because authorities lack knowledge of resource needs of its people geographically.
  • 3 BILLION people live EXTREME POVERTY without the ability to capture critical life events such as identities, banking, healthcare records, land ownership, global supply chain and more.
  • Women and children in Africa spend 6 HOURS EVERY DAY looking for clean water because not a single map of the water wells infrastructure exists.

Since 2015, Connolly-LaBelle’s leadership is positively impacting 20 million people in Africa, nearly 3 million veterans in the U.K., assisting relief efforts in Europe and Africa.

  • Now, organizations such as non-profits, governments and corporations are breaking down data silos, solving problems, making critical development decisions and investments by collaborating in real-time like never before.
  • Now, those in extreme poverty are beginning to access a digital identity, assets, credit and other financial services by visualizing their world on an easy-to-use map.
  • Now, women and children are accessing water sources in a fraction of the time and spending more time in classrooms.

Connolly-LaBelle’s tenacity to embark on this ambitious pathway is the hallmark trait of her career. She’s no stranger to the entrepreneurial journey of undertaking oversized goals, mitigating risk and scaling swiftly. Travelling the world and bearing witness to these third world circumstances and then delivering sustained solutions has come to define RippleNami’s CEO and her unstoppable team. Connolly-LaBelle’s resolve to drive mass adoption of RippleNami’s technology is changing lives and lifting an entire continent – one country at a time – through its gift of connectivity and empowerment.

Connolly-LaBelle and her fellow finalists will be honored at a reception hosted by San Diego Business Journal on November 15 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront.

RippleNami Announces Partnership to Accelerate the Use of Blockchain in the Digitization of West Africa: Data Edge Revenue joins RippleNami to advance the adoption of blockchain-based services to foster positive change in the region

SAN DIEGO, California – September 6, 2017, RippleNami, Inc., provider of the only blockchain map-based data visualization platform, announces a partnership with Data Edge Revenue, a Freetown, Sierra Leone based systems integration company focused on advancing digitization in West Africa. The partnership provides blockchain-based solutions to help public and private players deliver economic opportunities, critical services and resources to improve the lives of the people of West Africa.

“Data now serves as a key currency in today’s economy,” said Jaye Connolly-LaBelle, president and chief executive officer of RippleNami. “This partnership accelerates the local and global benefits that this new currency delivers, while sparing West African countries the inefficiencies and costs of legacy data silos.”

“Our partnership comes at the right time. Today, West African countries lack physical records, much less the digital data needed to connect its citizens to social services and economic opportunities,” said Malador Sowe, president and chief executive officer of Data Edge Revenue. “Fortunately, blockchain and cloud computing advancements, as well as the embracement of mobile lifestyles, enable West African countries to leapfrog legacy systems to quickly make essential services affordable and accessible on a large scale. RippleNami’s unique visualization technology makes complex data relevant and intuitive, a prerequisite to widespread adoption of these services in emerging economies.”

“Data Edge Revenue and RippleNami share the vision that digitization is the most powerful path to enabling social and economic advancement. Digitization will enable the people of West Africa to fully participate in the global economy, and move from taxpayers-to-shareholders,” said Phil Gahn, chief business development officer and founder of RippleNami. “Data Edge Revenue brings the go-to-market experience and deep relationships with consumers, enterprises and governments in the region to drive investment, collaboration and adoption.”

The RippleNami / Data Edge Revenue partnership reinforces RippleNami’s commitment to serve Africa’s nascent technology market. Connolly-LaBelle said, “Our experience in East Africa shows that map-based visualization unlocks the power of big data technologies like blockchain. Without providing visual context, blockchain-based systems will struggle to deliver large-scale, advanced social, economic and civic benefits.  This partnership builds on our growing momentum to bring these benefits to people throughout Africa.”

RippleNami Produces Map of Need for United Kingdom’s Veterans: Map Eases Access to Services for 5 Million United Kingdom’s Veterans and Family Members

NEWCASTLE, England—September 5, 2017RippleNami, Inc., provider of a blockchain, map-based data visualization platform accessed via the cloud, proudly announced today that, together with Northumbria University in Newcastle, England, it has been selected by the United Kingdom’s (U.K.) Ministry of Defence’s Covenant Fund to produce a comprehensive map of health and social care needs for its nearly three million veterans located throughout the U.K. RippleNami will work with Northumbria University’s Northern Hub for Veterans and Military Families to deliver an interactive map bearing up-to-date strategic information that will aid in planning and resource allocation, while connecting veterans and their families with critical resources.

Veterans transitioning from service to those at the end of their life face the daunting challenge of locating and accessing the services and resources they and their families need to thrive. This includes locations of hospitals, substance abuse clinics, education centers, financial assistance, employment assistance, housing and shelters – all of the services that veterans and their families desperately need and deserve. Likewise, charitable organizations serving veterans do not have visibility into their veteran population in terms of the type and location of services most needed.

“We are delighted to work with RippleNami on this U.K. first. They have a strong track record in the field and are confident that this project will be a huge benefit to veterans and also to those who commission and provide services for them by providing a comprehensive map of all available veterans’ services throughout the U.K., as well as an accurate picture of the ongoing health and social care needs of our veteran population,” said Dr. Matt Kiernan, Associate Professor of Mental Health and Veteran Studies at Northumbria University and a former Lieutenant Commander in the Queen Alexandra’s Royal Naval Nursing Service “This vital information will enable us to better assess and understand their needs so we can ensure services are being delivered.”

What is most unique about the cloud-based technology is its ability to capture data as a by-product of a user looking for help. As a user interacts with and searches for help on the map, the application records every click by the user providing an accurate record of what services each user is looking for, with the coordinates of where they are looking. The cumulative data produced by users, once analyzed, will deliver up-to-date strategic information to the Ministry of Defence’s Covenant Fund Team.

“RippleNami is committed to connecting unconnected veterans with critical services they deserve and need to thrive. We are honored to support Northumbria University to further their initiative of ensuring veterans and their families gain access to the resources they need,” said Jaye Connolly-LaBelle, RippleNami President and Chief Executive Officer. “To further this effort, we have opened an office in Newcastle, England to continue our mission of improving the world through social good.”

Under the PWE program, in addition to the capital investment, all of the carefully chosen participants gain access to world-renowned mentors, exposure to a network of experts and investors and receive a customized curriculum designed to advance business growth and raise follow-on capital. The Accelerator culminates on Demo Day — November 9, 2016 — when each of the entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to present their plan to business leaders, venture capitalists, angel investors and potential clients.

“RippleNami is honored to be selected by PWE to participate in this program, which was strictly designed to champion women-led businesses. This is a very exciting time in our growth phase and with the financial and educational support from PWE, we will put all these resources to use in helping take RippleNami to the next level. The competition was fierce – RippleNami was selected from hundreds of applications submitted, which demonstrates the viability of and opportunity for our dynamic mapping solution and innovative technology. We appreciate the support PWE is affording our fast-growing startup through their women-targeted program,” said Jaye Connolly-LaBelle, president and chief executive officer at RippleNami.

The PWE Startup Accelerator, which has already graduated 16 companies and invested nearly $1.5 million in their successes, is aimed at supporting women-led startup businesses engaged in the technology, healthcare/technology and consumer products arenas. PWE defines a women-led business as a company with at least one woman in a position of leadership with significant and meaningful equity. PWE’s criteria for startups are those companies that have a working product and preferably customers. Previous cohorts were selected from applications representing more than 31 states and 41 countries.

Other companies chosen to participate in the fall 2016 PWE program include: Lean Media, St. Louis, Mo., Mindset, St. Louis, Mo., Music Spoke, Lincoln, Neb., Precision Image Analysis, Seattle, Wash., and, Soozie’s Doozie’s, St. Louis, Mo.

PWE’s three-month program provides an intensive experience for women, solely focused on their business growth. Based in the heart of St. Louis’ innovation district, participants commit to staying in St. Louis for 15 days throughout the three-month program, allowing them to solely concentrate on the rapid growth of their entities and raising capital.
